Tennessee Legislature Adjourns

Nashville, Tennessee, 10 June 2010 The Tennessee  State Legislature adjourned sine die on 10 June 2010.  Thus fulfilling the call of Anti-Indigenous American Indian entities and persons by sunsetting the Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs

The Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs Establishes Procedures for Recognition

Memphis, TN, 19 June 2010 – Tennessee Code Annotated 4-34-103(6), The Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs has established procedures to provide for legal recognition by the state of presently unrecognized tribes, nations, communities or individuals.

The Chikamaka Band was one of six (6) Tennessee Indigenous American Indian Tribes recognized.

One publication compared it to the event of the Black Independence day Juneteenth
